Girls Navigate Their New School In PASSAGES. Entering Middle School can be a tough time for a girl. PASSAGES summer workshops are designed to give rising middle school girls the confidence to make the transition, by introducing them to their new school before classes begin. In PASSAGES, they’ll learn how to make new friends, navigate the halls, get organized, learn time management, talk about peer pressure and issues important to them, and hone their study skills. Sponsored by Girl Scouts of Gateway Council, PASSAGES will be held this summer at participating middle schools in northeast Florida.

Kindergarten Kickoff: In order to prepare students for Kindergarten, Sylvan is offering a summer "Kindergarten Kick-off" for 4 and 5 year olds entering Kindergarten in August 2013. "Learn to Synchro" is an introductory 4 week session designed to teach children the fundamentals of synchronized swimming all while having FUN.   The sport incorporates the elegance of ballet, strength and flexibility of a gymnast, the stamina of a speed swimmer all to sounds of music above and below the water.   This program is under the guidance of our Head Coach, Becky Dyroen-Lancer, Gold Medal Olympian.
