An independent volunteer organization works with the city of Alachua Recreation Department to promote and teach the sport of soccer.   We support the concepts of good sportsmanship and respect, working with children 4-14 in the local area.   Our league plays teams from High Springs, Williston, Archer, Bronson, Newberry, Micanopy and Hawthorne.   The season starts in September and ends with a tournament in late November.

Blue Lightning Volleyball of Gainesville is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2002 to provide an affordable and competitive opportunity for AAU/USAV tournament level volleyball for girls 12 and up.  Our success is directly dependent upon our ability to combine the strengths of our coaches, players and parents.  It is the goal of our club to facilitate positive dynamics of these three vital components of any team.  We will accomplish our mission through superior teaching by our coaches; open and honest communication with our families; hard work and a united focus toward making our athletes true champions on and off the volleyball court.

Elite Pro ball academy is located in Newberry Florida at the Easton Newberry Sports Complex. 8000 square feet with 4 full size cages, two baseball mounds and a softball mound. We currently offer lessons to sharpen your softball skills for pitching, fielding, & hitting.

Team Elite is a 15-under competitive baseball team. The team is coached by Cedrick Bowers from Chiefland, Florida, who is currently with the MLB Oakland Athletics and Shedrick Honeycutt from Tallahassee Florida formerly with the Milb Montreal Expos.

Gainesville Fast Pitch Softball, Inc. is a parent run organization that will be organizing and operating Gainesville’s Babe Ruth Softball program for girls 5-18.

Spring 2011 Registration: We will be holding a registration and evaluation day on Saturday, January 29th at 11AM.   The registration will be open until February 10th.   Registration fees have been set at $100.   If the player is returning from the Fall 2010 season, and does not require a new uniform then the fee will be discounted to $75.   A late registration period will be held from February 11th through February 24th.   There will be an additional $25 late fee for all registrations taken during the late registration period.

GSA's purpose is to promote the advancement of competitive youth soccer in the greater Gainesville area.  This shall be achieved through the development and retention of outstanding soccer players using licensed coaches, professional instruction, and a commitment to sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal development.  Soccer will be the basis for teaching honor, integrity, cooperation, commitment and good will through victory and defeat.  Finally it is our hope that each player develops a passion for the game that provides him or her with a lifetime of playing, watching and loving soccer.

- GSA is a volunteer-based, nonprofit organization.
- Players must try out for competitive teams and commit for one year of play with acceptance.
- Approximately 8-12 matches each season (fall & spring) and 2-4 tournaments per year.
- Playing time for comp teams is earned.  All kids play equally on Rec teams.
- Practice 2-3 times per week.

Leg-A-Z Soccer is north central Florida's newest soccer program, formed to develop and promote the highest caliber, attractive youth soccer in the area.  Leg-A-Z's training system has been used to develop players for more than 15 years.  Our system promotes creativity and tactical awareness in a structured environment which mimics the demand of the modern game.

Academy teams -- for players age 5-12.  These young players train with Leg-A-Z coaches and players year-round but do not play in any league games, competitive or recreational.  Often, these teams compete in 3 v 3 tournaments, which provide small-sided games in a competitive environment.

Recreation teams -- for players age 5-10.  Unlike many rec players who practice during a limited fall and spring season, these players train year-round with Leg-A-Z teams and coaches, but play games in Gainesville's Youth Soccer (YSI) league.

Competitive teams -- Co-ed and female teams U10-U18.  Leg-A-Z teams compete as premier teams in the North Florida Youth Soccer League, in Regions Cup and State Cup play, and in a select number of highly competitive youth soccer tournaments throughout the southeast U.S.

Girls Softball: Two seasons of girls fast pitch softball are offered.   The spring season begins in February and the fall season begins in September.

Baseball: Two seasons of youth baseball are offered.   The spring season begins in February and the fall season begins in September.

Tackle Football: Season is in the fall starting August 1st through the end of November. There are two different age division, 10 and under & 13 and under.   Positions are weight specific.   This is a city league program that plays other local cities around our community.

Flag Football: Season is in the fall starting in September through the end of November.   This program is for boys and girls from ages 5 - 7.   Teaches the fundamentals of football and team work.   This is a city league program that plays other local cities around our community.

Basketball: Season is in the winter starting December through the February.   Boys and girls age divisions from 5 to 14 yrs old. Skills training ranging from ball handling to defense.   This is a city league program that plays other local cities around our community.

Soccer: One of the fast growing sports in our community.   This program is for boys and girls from 5-14 yrs old.   This is a fall program that runs from September through November.  Soccer uses a lot of volunteer coaches that know the game.   This program builds skills as well as team unity.   This is a city league program that plays other local cities around our community

Pop Warner is the ONLY youth football program (local, regional and national) that sets and enforces a strict AGE & WEIGHT MATRIX that reduces the risk and reality of injuries. TOPSoccer is the outreach program for soccer designed to allow special needs kids the opportunity to play ball with peersand volunteer buddies.   The program is inclusive for kids age 3 and up for any child or young adult regardless of disability.   We play ball with a fleet of wonderful volunteer "buddies" and adapt soccer to the ability of the kids so that every child is a winner with success measured in smiles not goals.   All play dates will be atbeautiful Jonesville Park on Friday evenings in the fall and some Sunday afternoons in the spring.   We always cancel for rain and occasionally add extra days for beautiful weather so keep your eye on this website for updates.   Everyone is promised fun!
