Feline Friends
Feline Friends is a small foster program offering cats and kittens for adoption.  All cats enter the adoption program from the College of Veterinary Medicine.  Unfortunately, we do not have room to accept stray cats or owner-relinquished cats from the public.  Cats and kittens are FeLV and FIV negative, vaccinated with FVRCP, FeLV, and rabies (if old enough), and receive monthly flea and heartworm preventive.  In addition, all cats and kittens are spayed or neutered before adoption.  All of our adoptions are finalized at a local cat hospital or the College of Veterinary Medicine.  We do not have a formal shelter building, but visits with specific available cats are welcome by appointment.  In order to assure the best possible match between each of our cats and their new homes, a detailed application is required of interested potential adopters.  If accepted, an adoption contract is signed, and a $50 adoption fee is paid.

Gainesville Rabbit Rescue
We are a nonprofit organization accepting into its protection any rabbit that has been mistreated or abandoned.  The organization does not deny shelter because of disability or illness.  All rabbits, after being nursed into optimum health by knowledgeable volunteers and-when necessary-local vets, are spayed and neutered before being placed up for adoption.  GRR volunteers screen all adopting families to insure these rabbits will be placed in a secure and loving home.  Gainesville Rabbit Rescue, Inc. is not a shelter; it is solely reliant upon the efforts of its volunteers.  The rabbits do not live in kennels, but in the loving homes of foster families who see to it that the rabbits are litter box trained, fed and well cared for, with expenses coming more often than not from their own pockets.

Phoenix Animal Rescue
We are a volunteer run, non-profit, no-kill, animal rescue group that is located near Gainesville, Florida.  Instead of having a store-front or rescue facility, all of our animals are housed in foster homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention that may be required to ensure that they are in good health prior to going to their forever home.  Our organization's relatively small size facilitates a better understanding and relationship with each and every animal that comes into our care.

Many of our dogs are pit bulls or pit bull mixes who are waiting for people to learn they are very nice dogs.  We focus on quality adoptions and our donors support this focus.  We find the best home for each dog based on each dog's individual needs.  This means our dogs go to obedience classes, live in individual homes to learn how to be a housepet, and get every resource available to treat any and all issues.

Puppy Hill Farm
We work closely with Alachua County Animal Services to reduce euthanasias at the Alachua County shelter.  We adopt dogs and cats of all ages to good homes at the Gainesville Petsmart Friday-Sundays.  We have a great selection of adoptable animals, including puppies, adult dogs, small dogs, cats, and kittens.  All of our animals have been started on vaccinations (depending on how long they have been with us, they may need further vaccinations after adoptions).  All have been vet checked and treated for any notable illness.  All dogs are heartworm negative and many have been through heartworm treatment in our program.  Some of these animals may have special needs, all of which are discussed at time of adoption.
